StoryPrints began while gathering photographs for a funeral: loose prints, pictures in albums and photos sent by friends and family. Existing apps mostly worked one photo at a time, needed a subscription, or kept the results locked inside the app. StoryPrints is a free app built to do this one job well, for anniversaries, weddings, funerals or simply a family album you don't want to lose.
How it works
Capture in batches
Photograph a handful of prints laid on a sheet, or whole album pages without taking the photos out. You can also add photos people have sent you.
Crop automatically
StoryPrints finds the edges of each photo and straightens it. You can adjust any corner by hand.
Tell the story
Add who is in the picture, where it was taken and what was happening, with as much of the date as you know.
Everything stays with the photo
The description and date are written into the saved JPEG itself, using standard photo metadata. Your photos are saved to your phone's gallery, so they work in any photo app, can be shared like any other picture, and sort in roughly the right order even when the exact date is unknown. Nothing depends on StoryPrints continuing to exist.
Private by design
